Things have been quiet. Perhaps, as they so often say, a bit too quiet. My meeting with Narcissa seems to have gone unquestioned by the Ministry, and the coin I slipped her equally undiscovered by the same. Both Draco and his mother were grateful for my intervening, and showed it as much as their proud air would allow them to. The regal veneer of Narcissa's face slipped once or twice into actual emotion. I believe her joy at Draco's safety was greater than even I ad imagined it would be.
Draco's not less pleased. While he's nothing approaching cheerful, he's a bit less reserved than he'd previously been. He still needs a proper wand of course, but we'll need to get it out here in Tuscany, or elsewhere. We certainly can't go to London for it. Besides, I'm certain he'd enjoy the more exotic choices he'd have here.
Speaking of enjoyment, Draco's been surprisingly difficult. That hard-earned spine of his is making my plans take quite a bit longer than expected. I could call it frustrating, but it hasn't gotten quite to that point yet. However, I can safely say that it certainly has the potential to, something I would not have expected. It appears I'll have to redouble my efforts.

First one, now two more. The Ministry's slowly working to catch each escapee. I can only hope that whatever plans these fugitives may have do not result in mass destruction before there can be a proper end.
